I'm sorry I turned out so differently to you
I'm sorry I exploded into a million shades of grey
while you remained stoically black and white
and I'm sorry you can't accept that
I'm a different person today
But you know what's the best part?
I'm not really sorry at all.
i found you, drifting in the depths of my despair
i heard your cry echoing through the darkness
Your eyes spoke a thousand and one words
of demons and shadows of yesterday
that haunt the hallways of your mind
and into your light I dived
entwining our souls
in a twisted love affair
a deeper love I have not known
you are my twilight
my hearthstone
my everything
through this storm of darkness
I shall be your lighthouse
shielding you from diablo's hounds
so just close your eyes;
in my arms, you'll be safe and sound
and even if I can never call you mine
at least, for a little while
i was the reason behind your smile
droplets of cold condensation matted his hot skin
mist hazing in front of his eyes
ice trickled though his veins
the fever had gripped his body and held it hostage
yet Death was not yet ready to pay the ransom
mercy, he thought,
pounding out the last letter of the word
he yearned for the wings he so oft dreamed of,
for freedom of the shackles that crucified him
to his suffering
spare me your religious prattling
there is only one god
mercy, he begged
release me to Him
in the quiet of the night, he slips in
carrying vials of corruption
echoes of darkness follow in his wake
and the crucifixion of a once anesthetized mind
hyperaware thoughts, like flames, lick through hollow halls
burning, blazing, blistering
I watch as dreams turn to bitter ash
as you turn to bitter ash…
and I ask him, why?
and for once, only silence
from the twisting tendrils
of his e'er darkening flames…
A coldness creeps through her
Life drains from her veins,
cement and mud eagerly lapping it up
Desperately she clings onto a thread of oxygen
Her heart gasps, gulping down the vapour of death
Flames leap from the ground, licking and scorching her tender soul
Lucifer rises from the depths
and ice blue eyes stare from within, smiling teasingly
His outstretched hand a formal welcome into Hell
then, a light appears- magnesium set on fire-
A fiery white light from above, blinding,
holy sword meets demonic mace
Splintering sparks in a deafeningly silent clash
Both vying to win the centuries old gamble
Of souls to win, or souls to los
an angel, a demon
aching in the midnight sky-
cracked bones drift in a loose suspension
of haunted thoughts in empty halls,
scattered throughout with snowflakes,
light with deception
Battle scars roam across her pale canvas,
illustrating the path travelled with blind direction
Her eyes betray the lie within
that cruel wanting-
she's lost in paradise
